guess who's back

its been such a long time since i blogged, cuz i've had no mood to do so... its kinda boring back here. nothing much to take pictures of unless i wish to start a geeky knitting blog >_> well, for anyone interested anyway, Spotlight sells really cheap wool for $2, and its a large quantity for that price too. Of course, there's more expensive wool for variety.

lets see, being back in singapore was a huge contrast to how i lived in norway. as in... i have to go to bed at xx time, and going out is kinda limited i think. cuz in norway, i got to walk around quite alot and see a lot of stores.. whereas if i walked around in tampines............... thats kinda boring XD. plus its usually really crowded and I DONT LIKE CROWDS.

one of my mom's sales reps in the office was asking me about the trip, and i wasnt in the mood to talk about it enthusiastically then. so i was just telling her its not so crowded , like singapore. and that suited me just fine cuz i dont like people. XD not too much of people. i mean, le gasp, they steal my precious breathing air!! ( har har ) but thats me, i dont like crowds. never did, never will. and oooohh i'm sooo gonna skip going to chinese new year eve trip to chinatown. its fun for the first few minutes, but after that you're in an endless mob of stinky sweaty people rubbing against you due to the compactness of the crowd, with idiots occasionally "DONT PUSH!!" "EYH MOVE!" <_<> but it has the new year atmosphere i guess, and lots of stuff going at dirt cheap prices... but its not like i go every year anyway.

This is one of my gloating pictures, where i was playing Mario Party on the wii with Alex. *GLOATS OVER 5 STARTS* but hey, i've only won the game twice out of quite a few times of playing it. When i played it 4 players , it was kinda more fun although it got a bit long towards the end cuz we upped the number of rounds to 20. As you can see, my character is the ghost thingy with a freaky angry smile XD. The name is Boo, and its my favourite and only character i've used XD i'd loved to have put up a voice clip of the sound it makes , or rather, its laughter XD

This pic, which i like a lot, is unfortunately edited. you see, they looked so cool in the pic and the back ground was really nice, so i wanted to be in it too XD ahhh, the wonders of editing, photoshop etc XD those with good memory will notice that bit of me is from the pic with lots of snow and trees at the background. XD So far, only a few have seen this pic. mistah strawberry edited it himself, and commented it looked like i was lead singer for a gothic band. (side thought: i'd be one playing the triangle or tambourine. they can play the guitars/drums AND sing. ) i sent it to my ex lit lecturer/teacher as well, and he also said it looked like some cover of a gothic rock band XD. wahahaha... should add a title on the top where there's space.

And lastly, just for kicks, i had to upload this one up. You can see clearly now that i have been edited there and look very much like a sacrificial lamb without the wings. see, mistah strawberry had to comment on wings, and i juuuuust had to search for wings out of curiousity. i found the wings with the eyes, and passed the link to him, and he went editing them on my back T_T so as revenge, he got the lovely pink wings, personalised specially with a strawberry per wing! wooo!! and mine was drawn on with the paint program because i dont know how to edit pictures much, nor did i have photoshop at that time anyway. alex, of course, shouldnt be left out of the fun. i tried so hard to find fluffy angel wings , but i got birdie wings instead. -.- couldnt find those card captor sakura style kinda wings either, so i had to draw them myself as well .

last night there

lets see... i didnt feel like sleeping the last night there... so we were staying awake.. talking and folding stars hehe... and i took a few pictures like these glasses i painted below.. i like the glass i painted for alex cuz of the tree... quite nice effect since i just dabbed with a dry-ish brush... i also made other stuff when i was there with a little pack of clay i brought over.. like the candle holder below.. which has a name btw. the shape isnt perfect. and neither is the painting work but it does its purpose and it works just fine.

so since i didnt want to sleep, we decided to drag the strawberry man out for a walk too since he was awake as well... those two morons happily decide to walk through a grave yard at 4am in the morning. >_> but the walk was very very nice... refreshing and cool... and the cathedral looked very nice at night too. then we walked into one part of the cathedral they havent been to themselves before.. some sort of courtyard like place. The pic below shows one part of another building next to the cathedral... looked kinda nice so took a few pics there.

In case you didnt notice, i somehow have a purplish pink strip over me . =.= quick quick lets all point and say its the supernatural. har de har har har. or i could say i captured my guardian angel. *nodnodnod*

the walk ended very nicely when it began to snow.. and a proper snowfall this time with hardly much wind, enough to make the snowflakes swirl nicely in the sky... so me and alex sat on the cold stone floor watching snowflakes while mister strawberry said it wasnt good for our butts... maybe it'll freeze my poo in. har har har. well, on the other hand, its not good to get too cold.

so we all walked home slowly in the snow... meeting strange people. at that time of the mornin there are still some people about... drunks mainly, and some people who have to get up early to work and stuff. but in general, its actually quite safe, more funny i suppose. one guys come up asking for a smoke... another guy went up to strawberryman and wanted to offer his hand in marriage... uh. i mean.. SHAKE HIS HAND. *cough*

all in all, i had a really great trip.

and i wanna go back.

like now.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
i misread my flight info, i arrive on the -12-th of january, not the 11th. i LEAVE on the 11th. my bad!

No, this isnt a castle, its the main building of NTNU, the norwegian university in Trondheim.
i've visited the international relations office and clarified stuff... that the education there is free, but gotta pay 82900nkr to prove you wont be a bum in the country... then after the semester starts, you get the cash returned to you. before that, you can get a small sum back after its been checked if you must. However, norwegian is required, and you have to learn it for a year... for that, the above applies,and you pay 400nkr a semester or a month for the language course. BUT, upon completion of that course, you're guaranteed a place in your choice of study. so thats kinda cool...

This is the road in front of the main door of the main building ... thought it was quite nice , so i took a pic. XDThe next day was geek day, playing Wii for an undisclosed amount of hours. XD We played Guitar Heroes III ( YEAAAHHHH) , Mario Party and Wii sports. XD it was really really fun, and i managed to improve a bit on Guitar Heroes, so i'm managing the medium level quite alright now... although sometimes i still die halfway through the song XD Pity that i'm leaving soon, cuz another such session with the same company of people would be really nice :)

And lastly, cant resist showing off the lava lamp... it costs about $25... which is quite cheap for a lava lamp since those of that size in singapore cost 40-60? and it was on sale, going at half price i think. so we bought one for the apartment cuz we love lava lamps! and its PURPLE. *cheers*

In this pic, we have the cutey and the freaky. His mom loves collecting dolls, and not just one or two but she's got a shelf full. and i sleep in a room with at least 5 dolls which look kinda freaky. so they face the wall. *nodnod* anyway, lady made herself comfortable in the shelf XD
This is the shop... just one little CORNER of the shop which is in the company... and i counted all of it with his mom... there's 110 angels there on the shelf in the pic btw XD. there's tons more stuff to count.
Me and alex's bro's gf. XD we were wearing thermo suits to be able to stay comfortable while watching the fireworks. those suits keep you REALLY waaarrrrmmm. the stuff on our heads were made by his mom. :D she sells it even.gonna learn how to make those next time i meet her again.

belated new year post

lemme use my imagination to describe my new year day XD

in tina's imagination:
Loud bangs filled the sky, as flashes of light burst overhead, falling down like comets back to earth. The battlefield was ringing with screeches of pain of those who were hit and dying... the booms of weapons so loud that it seemed to blow the stars out of the sky as little tina pulls her helmet over her head in fear.

in reality:
XD well it DID seem like a battlefield with booms erupting everywhere in all directions around you!! and there were some screechy firework thingies that irritate the ears, sounds like gay torment or something... and i was pulling my beanie over my head cuz i am soooo not used to loud sounds nor do i like it much XD

after awhile, i got used to it though, and its really really pretty.. i'll upload some pics i took soon, but i didnt use the prolonged shutter time which would have captured very good pics of fireworks as the others have done. still, i managed to get some decent shots i THINK XD

right now i'm at his parent's workplace, helping to count stock earlier in their small stall downstairs that sells nice chrismassy stuff, lots of fishing knives and other random items along with some winter wear. there's one more storeroom to count though, and that one looks foreboding since its SCREWS and HOOKS that are to be counted XD. thankfully, i only need a rough estimate for those. XD and i'm not doing it alone of course.

i'm mailing some stuff back to singapore to my home.. MY stuff not souveniors XD sorry, a little low on cash on those, so may not be able to get something for everyone... will pebbles do? KIDDING

i'll see what i can get... i promised yade chocolate to my bro and the two indian crazies... but i kinda want to get more stuff, but it is hard due to a limited space in my luggage bag. ( the stuff i mailed back are stuff i got here :P which is alot =.= ) so i'm hoping to find stuff that are small and not brittle, or cloth like maybe XD down here they have embroidery stuff , the REAL embroidery that costs 2000NKR without the embroidering done i think.. thats more than 500 singapore dollars. sooo although its nice, i'm NOT buying one of those !! XD (come to think of it, i dont have the moo-lah to do so XD)

sadly, i doubt i'll get to see their summer house on a little island not too far from their main house... about 15-20 minutes drive maybe? i cant remember... and about 5-10 minutes to the island by a little motor boat they have. there's no electricity there, so obviously its used only during summer. pity pity, i did want to see it but the weather wasnt too good when we drove past the boat area. the island isnt as big as pulau ubin or sentosa if its what you imagine XD they own a little string of small islands, one of them with a pool of water trapped in a depression of rocks apparently,... which sounds cool. the island is big enough for a few large houses with big gardens XD.

one thing i like about the country side houses here are that they are very big. i think if it wasnt for the weather and distance, mom would love living here cuz the houses are biiiiig and nice, and you can have a huge garden and pond :D his paternal grandparet's bathroom is as big as a room in a condo. -_- thats biiig for a bathroom. his other grandmother's house had TWO living rooms, and that doesnt include a dining room, mind you. the bedrooms in norway, however, arent as spacious for some reason... but i suppose it varies. but generally from what i've seen, most are small-ish...but thats compared to what i'd like in a mansion. semi-detacheds dont exist in the place i'm at btw... the houses are very nicely spaced apart. :) some are even , in my opinion, too far apart... but thats up to people to build their own house i suppose...

anyway, i think i've rambled on enough... i'm supposed to go count stock but his mom is cleaning up the xmas decorations in the shop, and we cant mess it up by counting while she's doing that XD. so i'll go back to my knitting project.. the first i unfortunately cant continue because its all taped up in the box thats heading back to singapore... which should ideally arrive in 5 days or 4 from now.. and which i'll have to trouble my dear brother who i will bribe with chocolate and more, to help me collect from the post office if possible... it is biggish. XD
