the opposite graduation
Yesterday,i attended my dear mother's graduation at Nanyang Polytechnic.. she was there to receive her Specialist diploma in Radiology Nursing. I had to wait outside alone as she didnt know she needed to get me a card, so that i may go in and view the graduation >_>
so i went to read at the mcdonald's in NYP and walk around abit.. then i get a call from her, saying she needed her ic........... i brought it to the auditorium entrance, and the person whom i approached suggested that i could try asking if i could be let in anyway. why not?
so i walked up to some guy at the counter...
"scuse me.. my mom is graduating... is there a way i can get in?"
" HUH?! your MOM is graduating??"
"...wrong way round huh..."
so anyway, i was let in, and got a seat just behind my mother actually XD and even then, i had to wait another 3 bloody hours before the graduation ended >_> anyway, let me not grouch, lets be proud of NYP's oldest graduate ( i think XD wahahaha) for 2008 in Nursing XD
they have a 3D tv!!! thats her receiving her cert..
thats me and my mom... i dont get how people say we look alike XD
aaand the ever-happy graduate, combined with my eye for a nice background

Love is a cup of Milo
I was hungry at work, decided to play abit with my food to amuse myself...
thats my alphabet biscuits (which taste really good btw) floating in my cup of milo...
once again i'm deprived of nice pictures to take... unless you want the mess of my office table, or perhaps the ceiling...
my mom's graduating from NYP with an advanced diploma today.. hope i'l get to make good use of my camera then!

freaky fishies
today, i was planning to go to Harbour Front, to go to Mt Faber and get nice, scenic pictures. but noooo it was TOO DAMN HOT. seriously, its like walking out into a desert, with super strong rays slowly burning my skin as i walk :p
so there was a change of plans, and me and kas went to bugis instead.
...and we had our bits of our feet eaten by fish.
heard of the fish spa thingy? it was mentioned in the newspapers not too long ago, where you let fish eat away the dead skin on your feet. kas really really wanted to try it, and asked me to try with her. so... it took some ...persistent asking before i reluctantly agreed...
we had to soak our feet in a lil container of water for 2 minutes, then wipe them clean.. then lower it into the deadly tank of fishies... which are about 1 to 2 cm long :P SHUT UP I KNOW I'M BRAVE.
it seriously didnt help when i saw a skeleton... -just the skeleton- .. of a fish floating around in the tank... it was pecked CLEAN of any flesh :p. its like i'm about to sacrifice my feet to feed some miniature piranhas.. >_> in the end, after tons of insane laughter, and kas trying to force my feet in...
my feet went in.
OH THE PAIN BEYOND PAIN!!
(nah i'm crapping XD) it was VERY ticklish.. it feels like pins and needles when you dont get enough blood to your feet or something. like its kinda numb? i spend a good 5 minutes laughing and giggling... cuz the fish dont exactly latch on to your feet and chew away. it latches on, and swims up a length of your feet, nibbling on its way >_> so imagine how it feels when it does that at the sole of your feet, or in between your toes!! occasionally, i had a lot of giggles... but after 10 minute, i got used to the idea of having fish eat my feet ... and was able to take an interest into watching them nibble my skin away. har har har. and the skeleton? from what i observed, these fish peck away VERY little skin at a time.. cuz there was a dead fish floating around..and after half an hour of pecking at the dead fish, it still looked whole to me.
after 15 minutes, it starts feeling nice.. and you kinda dont wanna get out your feet out of the tub XD kas had a fun time filming my squeamishness. but overall , it was a fun and interesting experience.
the results? well... the fish didnt exactly get to eat the soles of my feet much, i've got my dead skin there still.. but the upper part of my feet has visibly improved, at least where there are brown patches of skin due to wearing shoes to work daily. soooo, for those who wanna try, its a small little shop in Bugis Street, good luck finding it because its nicely hidden at one corner and we only found it cuz we were lost. XD its 12 bucks for half an hour, but no one's watching the clock.
me and kas are gonna drag aarthi there sometime soon, just to watch her squeal etc... maybe tramatise her abit too.. then when alex comes, it'll be his turn. buwahahahaha. i'd include some pics, but all the pictures were taken on kas's cam. perhaps i'll upload them later when i get hold of them ;)

we'd probably spend one sunday to enjoy a meet-the-relatives session . XD i just wonder how it will go... but before anyone comments..

i'm back to blogging again, and this time its not my pictures XD the following pics are pics that i like , which alex took while he was at his parent's... makes me envious cuz i wanna take such nice pictures too >_> buts its really hard to do when you're on the way to work/at work from 6:30am-6:30pm 5 days a week... besides, singapore's beach isnt that nice to look at XD

YIPPEEE
wow, its been so long since i last blogged! but to be honest, i didnt have the mood much XD never late to blog again!
firstly, i've started work since april 10.. doing data entry in NUH. the pic below shows my lovely workspace, and for two weeks i had a cubicle all to myself... X) however, i have a new colleague who's a medical student from burma, and she now takes the outer half of the cubicle. she also takes over the work i was first assigned to do, which is DEAD BORING.
this job is not too bad.. i get to do other work for other people... then i get quite well treated too. heheeh... nice being the youngest in the workplace.
then here's a pic i took when i was out with kas, which i like alot because i took it as it is after playing with the carebears abit. their position is entirely coincidental, which is cute cuz they look like they're all really interested in something at a corner XD

and my happy news for the day, alex's dad called him up and offered him a ticket here! so thats finance problem solved! ( well, its really thanks to alex his dad ended up with a lil windfall of cash) really happy :D just hope everything else goes smoothly now.. but its guaranteed he'll be here in june! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.
