i figured everyone comes to my blog to just look at pictures anyway, since words get boring after awhile. so yeah, here, pictures . XD These pics were taken on a short meeting with joco, there was some special at Choco Boco... and i didnt get my nachos there . yet. thats cuz we went for a cheap lunch at the asian restaurant nearby... had to wait 15 mins in the sun though.
oh, and all these pics were taken with my phone camera. XD the dslr is abit bulky to carry around at all times you see.
one thing interesting about Norway, is that people go lie on the grass when there's nice warm sun out. and unlike Singapore, you dont start sweating and melting in the sun, because there's nice cold wind here X)
i like this pic cuz of the sun rays, makes it looks pretty cool.

we're going out to the sea for a barbeque today, kind of impromptu XD and we WERE supposed to have it just downstairs, but there will be a party held there and the person put a notice up early anyway. so, because beer drinking isnt allowed at parks ( i think ), we'll go to the seaside and have a bbq! YAYYYY

i'll go prepare and stuff :D

ok, so i've been lazy and havent uploaded pics or even a new post till now XD

3 days ago on May 17, it was National Day for Norway. and it was pretty cool too, the normally empty streets suddenly had swarms of people sharply dressed walking around. Quite a lot of them held the norwegian flag, men dressed mostly in suits although i spotted a few in traditional clothing.

quite a few women wore the traditional dresses as well, mainly a white inner long sleeved shirt, with some dress thing over in various colours and ornaments. according to alex, the design of the dress is region specific, but these days people probably wear what they find nice instead.

hot dogs were being sold all around the city, and candy.... hm what else... oh right, a band was marching on the roads, playing music. couldnt get a picture of them though, there was a crowd by the roadside and i didnt feel like squeezing past them for a pic.

ah well, back to the couch potato life X)

GH3 world tour

Yesterday evening we had a gathering, with Joco and Beate. I made japanese curry for dinner X) It was really much easier than i had thought, but i think i made it slightly too watery, but Beate seemed to really like it alot, and Alex too :D *breathes a sigh of relief* she also loved the melon drink i brought over XD and of course, the pocky. hahaha she loves jappy stuff. now i know what to bring next time ^^

we played Guitar Heroes 3, with a bass, a guitar and a microphone. it was pretty fun and i got made to sing two songs -.- not that they could really hear me anyway wahaha! its fun playing as a 'band' XD pity we dont have the drum set though, i love to hit stuff with sticks......... but its expensive, and would take up a significant portion of space. hmm.

oh, and today is Norway's National Day... i see two cute little kids in the common area downstairs dressed up in traditional attire, which is SO CUTE. Its basically white inner clothes, with a red something on the outside. ASK GOOGLE if you're curious! i think it'd be weird if i start taking pics of strangers' children XD

mmmm didnt take much pics yesterday though, Beate took a couple of pics of me with joco's cam, and i might post them later when he sends it.

off to make bacon and eggs now ! :D

geek club!

went out today to meet jenny, alex's friend from higher secondary school. met her briefly only though, she was to give a talk here in Trondheim. she was nice enough, was more nervous about giving a talk for the first time XD

then later went out to meet joco, who brought along his friend paul, who called out his gf to bring his camera XD. we were the geeky camera club, going out just to take pics. 2 dslrs and 2 digital superzooms.. the results were pretty nice, and i'll chuck a few here to show the great quality :)

i shall try not to be so lazy this round, and upload pics frequently (enough) . First two pics are taken with my Sony Cybershot W80, the cam with the wonderful macro function.
i think these flowers look really pretty and cute too XD before they blossom, they look like hearts... or perhaps a creature from Spore... the right of the pic, you can se what it looks lke when it blooms i guess

These last few shots are taken by a dslr cam, the sonyA100. very nice cam, can really tell the quality difference. the shots were taken with a tamron beercan lense,and i'm too lazy to blab the specs. XD

This magpie was going crazy in a puddle of water on the road... good thing for the beercan lense, which has a pretty decent zoom, since these birds are REALLY shy of humans.
nothing like a good facewash in a roadside puddle eh?
lastly, this pic was taken with max zoom of the beercan lens ( which btw, isnt a macro lens ) from about 2m away maybe? i'm actually quite impressed with the clarity :D this bee was up a tree...

i'll be going out to MIEN TRUNG today! ( for those who forgot, its the place where they save food for the gods. *nod* ) and more food news: i ate da LOVBIFF <3>

BACK IN TRONDHEIM!

Once again, this blog is active now that i'm out of singapore and back in norway! i had a pretty okay flight, with BEEF for dinner. and NICE BEEF too. a bit small portion though, but just right to finish up the rice that came with it. basically it was soft beef slices in some nice sauce.

ahhh X)

on the plane, i sat next to two oldish men from scotland. i guess they're in their 50s, from the grey hair, and the age of their kids they told me abit about. :) they were fun crappy people, made the trip shorter on the plane XD they've been colleagues for 18 years, which i thought was REALLY alot XD anyway, one of them was trying to sleep on his friend's shoulder, saying 'what are friends for?', while the other was being all get-away-from-me-EW

then later , while i was intensely watching Memoirs of a Geisha ( pretty good movie, i was hoping for more of the fan dance) , one of them interrupted going 'no more tv, bedtime for you' while pointing at his watch XD. har deeee har.. i watched 3 movies on the plane in total. Hitch and The Dutchess being the other two. The Dutchess was a pretty entertaining movie enough at least, not much brain involved, and something i doubt men will enjoy. or kas . hahaha

i got chocolate on the plane at least, one of them brought a pack. telling me to just help myself to it... hmm what else... oh right, i had some difficulty falling asleep, pretty much as usual. my legs were being irritating, protesting that they wanted to have space and be stretched. and the guy next to me offered to let me put my legs on his table..............................WAHAHA. it was nice, but something i would never do i think XD. it was funny at least.

the wait in amsterdam is boring as usual, i actually went to get re-print my boarding pass out of boredom, and i think i'll do so in the future as well. why? cuz then you get to pick the seats after everyone else has gotten them. and i picked a row with 3 empty seats. bad part? some *beep*nut came to sit with his friend opposite of my row. so i had ONLY two seats to myself :(

the sandwiches served were really nice this time, smoked chicken and cheese sandwiches. none of that icky goat cheese stuff either. but i felt a LITTLE discriminated by the stewardesses. well, at least with one of them. the first one forgot my request of a coke till i reminded her. the second one forgot it totally. and she gives the guys near me TWO cookies, and i only get ONE. i like those caramel cookies!!

oh well.

alex met me at the airport, and we took a bus back home. i realised i forgot my housekeys -.-
we got a new shower head here this time :D a tropical shower head! YAAAAY . and he's about to cook me bacon and eggs. ( joy X 2) i have tropicana orange juice ( joy X 3)

mmm what else.. unloading all the stuff i bought for him and us ( mainly the two jigsaw puzzles and the air purifier thing) , and the stuff for the friday queens ( in singapore, i got the Indians, and here i got the friday queens! waahahah ), my bag will have much more space now i think XD.

ok la, off to enjoy my chips while waiting for breakfast X)
