from this....

to this!!
progress!!!
got this really cool pattern from vogueknitting.com ( i think) . was a free pattern XD much fun to do, surprisingly fast, and now its washed and left to dry ( in a process called Blocking to get nice shapes like the pointy end)
so proud of it XD addicted to making laces lately, cant wait to start on my next project... got this really pretty...sea coloured? wool. its blue, blue and green XD
the next project is really difficult looking though, called the Aeolian Shawl... first hit on google if anyone's interested!
Finally finished knitting this.... thingy i'm making. its supposed to keep my arms warm, i'll fix up some buttons or ribbon in the front so it'll wrap around my upperarms. ( made it that way cuz its less work due to a shorter length, but also because a shawl thing usually has to be held down one way or another)
Today we went out for dinner, took a walk around town and settled down in the park to take some pictures, and it was off to watch Iron Man 2, and home to mess with the cat and take fun pics :D most of the pics took in the park are in my DSLR, so i'll post just that pic above for now from my digi cam XD
We had dinner at this Thai restaurant (so ironic, i dont eat thai food in singapore, but in norway.) The pic above shows green curry, which is much much more watery than i expected, and pretty damn spicey! i liked how they decorated it though :)
This is beef cooked in garlic and something else, it was SO nice!
Today, alex also gave the cat a good combing to get rid of her shedding pile of fur. And when i say pile, i'm not exaggerating.
see?
and thats after alex combed her yesterday too.
lasagne, made by me and alex! tasted yummy :)
off to play with the cat XD
Yesterday, in Amsterdam, i got stopped by immigration authorities because i didnt have my e ticket. and oh noes, they got oh so suspicious they had to bring me aside and check up stuff, taking 1.5 hours of my time. and it was SUCH an inefficient job! they asked a couple of questions, then sit around the room and talk amongst themselves. then ANOTHER security guard will come and ask me stuff, and go do other things. then yet another questions me, and another... and another.
so its stuff like "what are you going to do in norway?" "where will you stay?"
then they went on to ask me for Alex's phone number too. and they called him a few times, but Alex wasnt awake at first, and when he finally was, he answered and they asked first of all was "do you speak english?" and Alex hung up thinking it was some phone seller. XD ( because his bro recently got a call like that)
so yeah, at the end of all that nonsense, i have a few nice sentences as memory. Starts with the guard at the checkpoint.
Guard at checkpoint: "where's your e ticket?"
Tina : "... i didnt print it."
Guard: "do you have a return ticket? i need to see proof"
Tina: "cant you just check from the passport number?"
Guard: "ma'm, we're not KLM, we're immigration authorities."
WOW THEY'RE LESS TECHNOLOGICALLY INCLINED THAN AN AIRLINE COMPANY!
and FYI, they took ONE whole hour before realising they can let me just access the com in their office to print that stupid piece of paper.
Security Guard 1: "do you have any identification card or some sort of your boyfriend?"
Tina: *gives a big frown* "no."
Now why would i be holding something like that? Considering forms of identification cards are usually student cards, for singaporeans- IC, for americans -driver's license, for norwegians- the credit card. yes dear, i am SO sure i'd have one of those.
Security Guard 2: " do you have guarantee papers?"
Tina: "...what do i need those for? i'm going on a holiday"
apparently i need those if i dont have a whopping fat lump of cash in my bank account. because you NEED a certain amount of money for every day you're in a country it seems.
Security Guard 3: "can i see your credit card? how much credit will it give you?"
Tina: "..... its a debit card. *explains the difference clearly between a credit card and a debit card"
Security Guard 3: "oh ok."
10 seconds later...
Security Guard 3: "so how much credit will this card give you?"
Tina : "................."
Security Guard 4: "ok ma'm, i've called my chief, and talked to him about this. But i believe you, that you're.... .... ... just a normal person"
Tina: "yeah i'm not a hooker."
First of all, wow, you REALLY need to call your chief for this? poor guy, he must get bugged pretty damn often. but yeah, i was losing my patience with them. you would too if you just got off a 12.5 hour flight. Despite Dutch being the tallest group of people in the world, i was mentally beating them up in my grumpiness.
Now on to the happier stuff, my kitty!
CAT ABUSE!!!
made her a very simple scarf before i left for norway XD she's managed to get it off when i went to bed though.
