100 yards of heaven
still crappy weather outside, light drizzle, strong winds, no sun.
i wanna fish :(
on the upside, i have a large stock of potatoball in the fridge, waiting for me to eat it in different ways. there's a new way now i've tried yesterday, where the potatoball is cooked in milk and butter, then served with more butter. its a 'soup' apparently.
yoohoo, kas, milk+butter=soup.
it kinda freaked me for a moment ( THE BLASPHEMY TO POTATOBALLS!). but i tried it, and it wasnt so bad. Alex's mum loves it alot. i'd eat it, but no when there's proper potatoballs to eat!
that said, i'm off to fry some up ( or maybe get alex to do it 8> ) for breakfast
tata!

fishing
so the first pic shows the area where we could fish from
unfortunately, we didnt get any fish, possibly due to the low tide. we went out thinking the tide would come in, but that didnt happen, so oh well.
we'll try again next time

walk
i'm the spoilt singaporean who expects a neat path.
but i made it anyway. ironically i prefer climbing around rocks by the river which alex says is actually more dangerous... but at least i can see where i'm stepping clearly and there are NO BUGS.
i say this because a caterpillar fell from my head to my hands.
anyway. on with the pics xD.
The pics here are taken by alex and his new Nikon D3000 (*insert mild jealousy* *but Tina wants a Sony A550*)
i especially like the first picture above. look closely again... those arent snowflakes or raindrops. you're actually looking at a flipped picture of a river reflection!

Sucker
Before we left Trondheim for Alex's parents' place, Alex called up the pet shelter regarding Sucker.
They were very friendly, and asked us to send a picture of it, which we conveniently had a few of XD
They replied very quickly to the pictures, saying she was a special looking cat and they will look into picking it up as soon as possible.
One day later, they emailed us saying that Sucker was actually a missing pet! The owner recognized her from the pictures we had sent and was very happy to find her again. Sucker's real name is actually Silke( sil-ke). The owner had posted poorly taken and blurry pics of her, so she wasnt very recognizable i guess. Plus she had been missing for a month now (since 15th may according to the owner) and dirtied up alot.
I'm so glad that they're reunited :) although the neighbour upstairs said she was tempted to keep Silke ( before we found out it had an owner XD) despite being allergic.
One more day later, the owner emailed us to thank us for helping to look after her cat. So i guess thats one indication she does care for her cat. me and alex were wondering if it was abandoned... so guess not!
yay for efficient pet shelters!

we're leaving for Hustad today, just when it was getting warm here. looking forward to the fishing :D

Sucker
so thats her on the roof near our window on the 2nd floor, meowing from there.
so we decided to feed her. that didnt work, she still meowed.
then we decided to wash her. alex and i both had the idea in our heads, and i voiced it out.
i brought some wet tissue towels down.
he brought a bucket of water.
to summarize, alex dumped two buckets of water on it in stages. and it came back as long as Alex goes 'psssspsssspsssspsssss' to it. i handled the drying off, and even removed petrified shit from its ass... as well as other random icky stuff that clung to its long ass-fur.
we then decided we could sacrifice a small towel and give it a proper rub off... and it handled it all very well. so it cant be stray at all. i imagine a stray would freak out totally and leave battle scars on our hands.
today, Sucker still hangs around though she no longer tries to set a world record on Longest Meowing Session. her pretty long fur was much MUCH softer and nicer to touch after the wash.
bonus that it doesnt sink badly now either.
hope someone will adopt it though. it seemed like a nice enough cat.
