Swan

yesterday at the work place, Alex saw a pair of swans so he grabbed me and the cam and we went looking for them. had to climb abit here and there again,but it was worth it as the swans came swimming over when they saw us. It was a little surprising for me, i've never quite encountered wild swans (the ones in the botanic gardens dont count as wild.)

so that day, i learned a couple of new things about swans.

1: they hiss/growl at you if you go to near them suddenly.
i went within arm's reach of one, and i wasnt about to go nearer than that considering its aggressive display.

2: they arent so graceful anymore when they shit right in front of you while eating.
the swan alex fed did just that. lovely aint it?

however, alex did get some great pics since they were all up close ( he fed one by hand even, and was rewarded with some teeth grazing, bad aim on the swan's part i bet. or too hungry)

so i've put up just one for now, till he goes through and edits the rest and sends them to me. we're taking pics in RAW format now, which produces much higher quality pics ( at 10 megapixels, they better.) and allows you to edit them better since they hold much more information.

Now its on to the weird cat pics.

gonna go have dinner soon, lovely weather today. and hopefully by monday i'll be snapping pics with a new DSLR, the Nikon D3000. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE...
