Back!

Yesterday, in Amsterdam, i got stopped by immigration authorities because i didnt have my e ticket. and oh noes, they got oh so suspicious they had to bring me aside and check up stuff, taking 1.5 hours of my time. and it was SUCH an inefficient job! they asked a couple of questions, then sit around the room and talk amongst themselves. then ANOTHER security guard will come and ask me stuff, and go do other things. then yet another questions me, and another... and another.

so its stuff like "what are you going to do in norway?" "where will you stay?"

then they went on to ask me for Alex's phone number too. and they called him a few times, but Alex wasnt awake at first, and when he finally was, he answered and they asked first of all was "do you speak english?" and Alex hung up thinking it was some phone seller. XD ( because his bro recently got a call like that)

so yeah, at the end of all that nonsense, i have a few nice sentences as memory. Starts with the guard at the checkpoint.

Guard at checkpoint: "where's your e ticket?"
Tina : "... i didnt print it."
Guard: "do you have a return ticket? i need to see proof"
Tina: "cant you just check from the passport number?"
Guard: "ma'm, we're not KLM, we're immigration authorities."
WOW THEY'RE LESS TECHNOLOGICALLY INCLINED THAN AN AIRLINE COMPANY!
and FYI, they took ONE whole hour before realising they can let me just access the com in their office to print that stupid piece of paper.

Security Guard 1: "do you have any identification card or some sort of your boyfriend?"
Tina: *gives a big frown* "no."
Now why would i be holding something like that? Considering forms of identification cards are usually student cards, for singaporeans- IC, for americans -driver's license, for norwegians- the credit card. yes dear, i am SO sure i'd have one of those.

Security Guard 2: " do you have guarantee papers?"
Tina: "...what do i need those for? i'm going on a holiday"
apparently i need those if i dont have a whopping fat lump of cash in my bank account. because you NEED a certain amount of money for every day you're in a country it seems.

Security Guard 3: "can i see your credit card? how much credit will it give you?"
Tina: "..... its a debit card. *explains the difference clearly between a credit card and a debit card"
Security Guard 3: "oh ok."
10 seconds later...
Security Guard 3: "so how much credit will this card give you?"
Tina : "................."

Security Guard 4: "ok ma'm, i've called my chief, and talked to him about this. But i believe you, that you're.... .... ... just a normal person"
Tina: "yeah i'm not a hooker."
First of all, wow, you REALLY need to call your chief for this? poor guy, he must get bugged pretty damn often. but yeah, i was losing my patience with them. you would too if you just got off a 12.5 hour flight. Despite Dutch being the tallest group of people in the world, i was mentally beating them up in my grumpiness.

Now on to the happier stuff, my kitty!

CAT ABUSE!!!
made her a very simple scarf before i left for norway XD she's managed to get it off when i went to bed though.

ramble

last night in norway, and this time i'm taking it with a much more positive attitude.

i guess its because when i came back here, i had this feeling like i never left... and that gives the reassurance that nothing much will change when i'm gone (other than the cat growing up from kitten to young adult). it also reassured me that lilo treats me differently from alex's parents. how should i describe it? its like i'm her other 'human' (cats are too independent for owners XD ) so i get about the same treatment as alex gets from her. *convinces self its more since she managed to get the cat to come willingly onto her lap when on the sofa*

still pretty damn sad to leave of course, thats a given.

so i'm sitting here typing while alex makes dinner with the cat on my lap, washing herself.... typing this post in a form of self-therapy..... ah well. i believe time will fly fast enough, and there's internet and stuff... situations like this make you appreciate your partner more i guess?

cat's gone off now, alex still making dinner, i'm getting hungry. but its KJOTTSUPPE (meatsoup) which i will definately make after i get back to singapore. i'm rambling on.

packed by bags and stuff, mostly... going home with a lot less than i came with now that its empty of xmas gifts and stuff for others... i'll have my tamagotchis and psp ( yes alvin, i'm bringing it back FINALLY, and with your harddrive too) to entertain me on the plane. and if i get emotional, there's knitting therapy! sucks abit that i didnt get to buy more yarn due to the sucky weather, but i'll survive. worse case scenario i'll just undo the whole damn scarf and knit from the start!

knitting therapy is good btw, it stops me from thinking, and i go into this meditative state XD at least, when the knitting's easy. and the scarf i'm making is what i call piss-easy . (that word is stuck in my head so much, i just wanted to use it)

done rambling for now....

Round!

XD playing with the kitty once again!

Narcissism

Today is lets-be-narcissistic-day. So here are some pics of me , and the pics of my winter knitting projects! First up is a pic from New Year, with a dress kas bought for me + a jacket lace thingy i bought on Ebay (lovveeee) + slightly chunky necklace i got from Mary from xmas which suits the look nicely AND covers some boobage + cool hair thing from Alex + cat (who just came out of her den mewing at me and coming for some cuddles)

Next are pics Alex took of me at my request, because i love my new winter coat he got for me for xmas!its very nice and warm actually, havent felt cold wearing it... i wear a sweater under only if it drops below zero though.
DONT ASK WHY ITS THIS WAY . But i was rolling my neck, and its the only pic which shows off the sweater best. As you can see, i made some cool braiding on the sleeves and a slightly more complicated braiding down the front. The edge of the sweater is two layers of giant Xs.
The scarf i also made myself, without a pattern since i was inspired by a scarf Hilde had made for herself. In fact, i like it so much i'm about to complete another. XD The one in the picture is thicker, and i hung a swarovski snowflake on it to make it hang down slightly.. thought it was a cool idea so i'll probably do that for the future scarves i'm planning to make.
Gotta be off now, time to make dinner!

Typical Morning

A typical morning in the Gaustadnes household, with Lilo rushing over to cuddle in my lap, give a few kisses and dropping herself all over my lap wanting attention X)

i like how she runs over from daddy *gloat* but it doesnt take much to get her back on his lap... she switches between us depending on who is the most stable piece of furniture ( i suspect we're petting sofas in her mind's eye)
